Developer Lang Baumgarten wanted a home characterized by flat roof panels and expansive plates of glass to separate himself from the other so-called modern home builders on Miami Beach. The design of this mid-century modernistic home found inspiration in the great works of Richard Neutra and Rudolph Schindler, both of whom were trained by the renowned architect, Frank Lloyd Wright.
